naamsa | The Automotive Business Council is seeking a strategic and influential CEO to lead and future-proof South Africa’s automotive industry. The role focuses on policy advocacy, industry leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strengthening the sector’s contribution to the economy and job creation.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent and advocate for the South African automotive industry
- Engage with government, regulators, OEMs, and industry stakeholders
- Drive implementation of the South African Automotive Masterplan 2035
- Lead industry strategy, transformation, and sustainability initiatives
- Oversee market intelligence, industry data, and public communication
- Ensure sound governance, operational leadership, and stakeholder alignment
Key Competencies & Experience
- Strong automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sector experience
- Deep understanding of policy, trade, and regulatory environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strategic leadership with strong commercial and political acumen
- Ability to influence industry, government, and global partners
- Commitment to transformation, sustainability, and industry growth
