Established in 1935 as a trade organisation, naamsa | The Automotive Business Council has become a major industrial and economic force that adds real value every day, by providing mobility; facilitating trade; creating sustainable jobs; moving people, goods and services; and by serving communities and creating prosperity for the people of South Africa.
We represent the collective, non-competitive interests of 43 new vehicle brands in South Africa comprising of twenty-two companies involved in the production of cars and commercial vehicles plus an additional twenty-one companies involved in the importation and distribution of new vehicles across the country. We also have a number of associate member companies who support our mission and strategic objectives.
