NSA parteneredwith the University of Witwatersrand Reproductive Health and HIV Institute (WITS RHI) to support the Department of Health (DoH)’s COVID-19 screening programme in the City of Tshwane, in the Gauteng province.
The company made available 12 Nissan and Datsun sedan vehicles to WITS RHI employees who will be conducting COVID-19 screening in the communities of Soshanguve, Ga-Rankuwa, Winterveldtand Hammanskraal, as well as other areas north of the city in the Gauteng province.
In the fight against COVID-19, Nissan has partnered with the University of Pretoria’s Health Sciences faculty to design INTUboxesand donate 15 Boxes for use at its academic hospital, an innovation that will protect our frontline health care professionals who treat COVID-19 patients.
The INTUboxis a transparent vessel-box used to protect health professionals who would have to intubate and treat acutely ill COVID-19 patients. The INTUboxprevents viral droplets spreading to the attending health professionals by containing droplets inside the box, significantly reducing the risk of exposure.
Nissan has donated a NP300 pick-up to the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) as part of an effort to conserve the Soutpansberg Protected Area [SPA].TheEWT plans link the Luvhondo Private Nature Reserve (LPNR) with the greater SPA area creating a continuous protected area covering over 20,000 hectares that will protect several threatened and locally endemic species of animals and plants.
