naamsa Welcomes Local Manufacturing OEMs

Covid-19 Vaccination Sites

naamsa has been working closely with the NDOH [National Department of Health] and BUSA [Business Unity South Africa] to assist its Manufacturing OEMs to be registered as vaccination OHS [Occupational Health and Safety] sites. Currently, 6 eligible sites out of the 7 manufacturing OEMs have started vaccination process nationally and 5 of these sites have managed to create the NDOH EVDS account that assists with bulk uploading of employees and an efficient vaccination process. The sites have capacity to administer 1400 jabs/day. The following OEMs started vaccinating at their OHS Workplace sites, BMW South Africa in Rosslyn, Ford Motor Company South Africa in Silverton, Mercedes Benz South Africa in East London, Nissan South Africa in Rosslyn, Toyota South Africa Motors in Prospection and VWSA in Kariega. The number of people vaccinated will be added to the AICCC stats and report for August 2021, to monitor progress for workplaces OHS sites and industry in general.
